Hello there!
Thanks for visiting Dad Racket.
I’m Gavin, a proud dad, and keen tennis player. I’ve decided to set up this blog to make a little ‘noise’ about tennis.
I played a bit of tennis as a teenager, but ‘life’ got in the way and I pursued other interests. After about a 20-year gap from tennis, I’ve taken it up again as a senior and I absolutely love it! I don’t have any awards or trophies to boast about, but my game is getting better and I hope this blog will keep me motivated to improve as a tennis player.
Although I would love to play tennis several times a week, I just have the small matter of raising my 4 year old daughter, Mia, and my newborn baby, Daniel.
As any parent would know, this certainly takes up most of my time!
You can learn more about me (Gavin) here.
So this blog will talk about various tennis topics, tips and useful information as I try to juggle being a parent as well.
Apart from playing tennis, I used to be a bus driver (retired now) and my biggest memory from that time was when I drove home the US Davis Cup team in 2005.
Please get in touch and give me your thoughts about tennis, parenting, or anything you want to chat about!
