Iga Swiatek’s Tennis Racquet (2023 Season)

The Polish superstar Iga Swiatek has taken the tennis world by storm in the last couple of seasons. It’s been a long time since a women’s tennis player has dominated as much as Swiatek has, and while it’s a long way to Serena Williams’ legacy, she may be there one day.

Apart from her tennis shoes, many fans are curious about the tennis racquet she plays with. That’s what we will go through in this post.

Iga Swiatek currently plays with the Tecnifibre Tempo 298 IGA. She strings the racquet with Tecnifibre Razor Code at 17g 1.25mm. Swiatek has used this racquet setup since early 2021. Before that, she used to play with the Prince Textreme Tour 290.

Iga Swiatek’s Racquet Specs

While I’m sure that Iga Swiatek would succeed with almost any racquet, the Tecnifibre Tempo 298 has undoubtedly had a part in her immense success on the tennis court.

Here are the specs of Iga Swiatek’s tennis racquet:

  • Head Size: 630cm
  • Weight (unstrung): 298g
  • Balance: 320mm
  • String Pattern: 16×19
  • Swingweight: 319
  • Stiffness: 71

These are the standard specs that Swiatek uses. However, depending on the conditions (surface, weather) she may change it up a bit. Iga is one of the few pro players that actually play with the racquet she endorses.

The name of the racquet “298” refers to the racquet’s weight in grams, and the version that Swiatek plays with is a custom version of the regular Tempo 298.

Specifically made for women’s tennis, the Iga version is designed to provide a balance of control and power, suiting Swiatek’s aggressive baseline play style.

Iga Swiatek’s Racquet History

With Iga Swiatek’s relatively short career thus far, she hasn’t experimented with a lot of racquets.

Here are the racquets that Iga Swiatek has used in the past:

  • 2018-2020: Prince Textreme Tour 290

Iga Swiatek has been sponsored by Prince since her junior days and used to play with the Prince Textreme Tour 290. She won her first Grand Slam using this racquet.

However, when she started winning Grand Slams and became a world star in the tennis scene, Prince didn’t have a chance to compete with Tecnifibre once it was time to renew her contract.

Since mid-2021, Iga Swiatek has played with her signature racquet, the Tecnifibre Tempo 298 IGA
